Lia Billie is an artist and designer based in London, known for her elegant animal forms, signature koi fish motifs, and vibrant use of colour inspired by nature and wellness.
Lia began her creative journey as an international fashion photographer, producing still and motion campaigns for global brands, with work featured in Vogue, BBC London, and Soho House.
In 2018, she founded her studio paintmarksonmyjeans, shifting her focus to visual art and design rooted in nature, wellness and educational storytelling. Lia’s work blends bold colours with themes of love, diversity and the natural world.
Her standout installation “Amity” was featured in the #LetsDoLondonBetter campaign with Westfield London, curated by Laura Nevill. The piece transformed an underused space into a vibrant public environment, receiving praise for its warmth, hope and celebration of community.
Lia’s practice spans from fine art paintings to large scale billboard installations and stationery design, some of which have helped raise funds for charities including Mind and Shelter from the Storm.
